ECQMA informs producers and all industry stakeholders of the latest news concerning cases of avian influenza and GM in Quebec, so that they can adapt to biosecurity measures, determine the need for permits and facilitate the smooth running of the industry.

State of the situation as of April 11, 2024

The EQCMA issued a press release on April 10 to inform partners in the Quebec poultry industry of a new case of avian influenza in a backyard farm and a suspected case in a farm.

On April 11 the EQCMA issued a new statement to advise that there will be no control zone for the backyard case in Cookshire-Eaton and that the result was negative for the suspected case in a flock commercial.
